Abstract:

The paper is devoted to the basic methods of gold and silver nanoparticles optical properties simulations. The dielectric functions of nanoscale metals are discussed. The basic principles of plasmon resonance tuning are demonstrated by using the simple dipole approximation. A review of the methods for simulation of the nanoparticles absorption and scattering spectra is given.
