Abstract:

The paper considers the propagation of elastic waves in the circumferential-reinforced cylindrical fluid-filled shell for beam-mode of vibrations. The dispersion curves and modal coefficients are compared for orthotropic shell without fluid, for orthotropic shell filled with an incompressible fluid and for orthotropic shell filled with a compressible fluid. This allowed us to identify the influence of orthotropy and of fluid on the cut-on frequency and on the prevailing type of displacements.
