Abstract:
The effect of an external magnetic field and the finite electrical conductivity of a material on the dispersion and dissipative characteristics of a longitudinal elastic wave is studied, which is manifested, in particular, in the formation of accelerated and decelerated waves with respect to a wave propagating in a material with infinite conductivity.
